Okay, this one is big for me! Prior to pregnancy my husband and I had a Chevy Impala and a two-door Honda Accord. My husband then decided to buy a two door drop top Ford Mustang! That was all fun and games until we found out 3 months later that I was expecting with our first child!
Well, I wanted to see how things would go “once we had the baby”. I figured we could get away with the space in the Impala. All in all, the trunk was big! Fast forward to the car seat installation … well, when you’re pushing 6ft. and your knees are smashed in the dashboard, there’s no way you’re with getting away with driving around in a Impala! Some people can pull it off but the way my comfort level is setup I wasn’t going for it all. Sooner than later he and I were out SUV shopping.
My husband wanted an extended truck for “future kids”. There’s no way I was going to drive a school bus for one kid! I mean I am an over-packer BUT STILL, I didn’t need THAT much space. So we went with a very spacious SUV!
*clears throat* let’s just say I should’ve gotten that school bus!
Here I am 2.5 years later with 3 kids … YES THREE KIDS! The Lord did say be fruitful and multiply! (Gen. 1:28 ) Now we are in the same situation all over again. Let’s just say the shoe is on the other foot. I want a Sprinter van (aka “party bus” as my better half would call it) and my husband doesn’t. Oh, how the tables have turned! I think it’s very practical, especially at the rate we’re going. Maybe “Santa” will deliver me a Sprinter Van this holiday season. I’ve only been on the naughty list a handful of times this year.
In your opinion, would you go with a Sprinter or extended SUV? Leave your comments below.
