I’m sure you’re wondering, “How many books does a child need?”. I’m all about creating a growing home library of seasonal books. It also allows me to easily connect with my little ones in a meaningful way. I try to add new books to their collection once we’ve outgrown older books that they are no longer interested in. Our old books are donated to kids in need that way we don’t end up with too many. This year I especially wanted to add Michelle Obama’s book: “Michelle’s Garden: How the First Lady Planted Seeds of Change ” to our collection. Although my list is continuously growing, today I would like to share with you some of our 2021 Spring books.

This season I wanted to implement a new tradition within our family. Three days out of the week I will allow each child to select a book, we will then read that particular book together as a family. Every Monday of this season, I’m also planning to read with each kid separately. Each child is allowed to select whatever book it is off the shelf that they would like to read (alone with me) before bed. So far, the kids have really enjoyed spending that one-on-one time with me. Xiomara really seems to enjoy learning about bees & pollination, Sarai is all about lady bugs, Jeremiah is all about the the bright colors and Abigail … Well, she’s just running her own show!
